How did physical features (rivers, mountains, ocean, etc.) shape early China and its later development?
Ancient China was built along the two main rivers, the Yellow River, and the Yangtze. The first tribes in China surrounded along the Yellow River, they grew wheat and crops. Along the Yangtze more tribes grew, they grew rice, ate a good deal of fish added with vegetables. Due to the water, plants such as water chestnuts and lotus grew. Because of the heavy use of human work, the same area of land could grow about twice as much food.
